Real Madrid midfielder’s entourage deny reports of club misdiagnosing ankle injury | OneFootball

There appears to be a smear campaign against Real Madrid’s medical team by French media in recent weeks, and the story of Kylian Mbappe’s misdiagnosis leads the reports on that front.

It was, after all, reported initially that the medical team had examined the wrong knee and cleared Mbappe to play despite an injury, something that could have aggravated his condition. The player, however, has come out to deny the same.

The campaign, however, did not stop with reports then surfacing that Eduardo Camavinga faced a similar situation as the medical staff took an MRI of his right ankle when it was his left ankle that had suffered a blow.

False alarm again?

Now, as reported by Pablo Gallego, Eduardo Camavinga’s entourage has denied the news spreading in the media.

The midfielder’s camp affirms that no such event transpired and that Real Madrid’s medical staff did not take a scan of the wrong leg. The said news appears to again be a fake story fabricated against the medical team.

There was a strong reason to believe that the story around Camavinga was true, especially given the timeline of his injury and prolonged absence at the beginning of the year.

Needless to say, it is queer for two such similar reports to come out in the media about blunders by the medical team, both being later confirmed to be false.

Los Blancos will undoubtedly look to get to the root of the ongoing campaign against the medical team.

As it stands, the 23-year-old is fit and available for selection by the manager and even played short cameos against Manchester City and Atletico Madrid. His form, however, has been a matter of slight concern and there continues to be talk of a summer departure.
