Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing Atalanta’s versatile midfielder, Ederson, with a potential move lined up for 2025.
This revelation, shared by Real Madrid Confidencial, highlights the growing interest in the Brazilian, who is also being tracked by some of Europe’s top clubs, including Manchester United.
Ederson is known for his ability to play in a variety of midfield roles. He can operate as a deep-lying pivot, in a central midfield position, or even as an attacking midfielder, offering flexibility that makes him an ideal replacement for Toni Kroos.
His all-around capabilities on the field have made him a vital player for Atalanta, where he has been the central figure in driving the team’s play.
This season, Ederson has been in excellent form, having accumulated 1,964 minutes in 23 appearances.

He has scored two goals and provided one assist, showcasing his ability to contribute both defensively and offensively.
His contributions in the middle of the park are a testament to his technical and tactical awareness, making him an attractive target for top clubs across Europe.
Ederson’s market value is currently set at €50 million, but Atalanta are reportedly open to offers around €70 million or more considering the interest he has generated.
While Real Madrid are among the front-runners for his signature, they will face stiff competition from other big European clubs looking to strengthen their midfields.
For the European champions, the pursuit of Ederson reflects their ongoing efforts to reinforce their midfield and secure a successor for Toni Kroos.
The club has also been linked with players like Martin Zubimendi, but Ederson’s versatility offers an appealing alternative.
Although no official bid has been made yet, Real Madrid’s interest in the Atalanta star is clear, as they look to build a team capable of competing at the highest level for years to come.
