Real Madrid have grown doubtful about landing Bayern’s Olise, with Mundo Deportivo reporting the club no longer seriously expects to sign the French winger.

Internally the move is viewed as “virtually impossible”. That stance contrasts earlier reporting in Bild.

The report adds that president Florentino Pérez would act if a realistic opening emerged, yet such a scenario is seen as highly unlikely and Bayern want to keep him.

Olise is under contract with the German double winners until 2029, and the deal contains no release clause.

Should Olise reaffirm a wish to leave in internal discussions, intensive talks between player and club would likely follow.
