Real Madrid plan to make opening offer for Galactico target in 2-3 weeks – report | OneFootball

Real Madrid have set a blistering pace heading into the summer transfer window, having already closed as many as three signings in the form of Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, and Ibrahima Konate.

A fourth transfer has also been secured but not announced officially – Denzel Dumfries. And Los Blancos are showing no signs of wanting to slow down.

While a new midfielder is very much on the agenda, the focus now appears to be on bringing in the next Galactico signing – Michael Olise of Bayern Munich.

Indeed, the 24-year-old French international has emerged as the dream signing for club president Florentino Perez.

Real Madrid to launch opening offer for Olise soon

Now, according to journalist Miguel Serrano, Real Madrid are likely to table their opening offer to Bayern Munich for Olise in the next 2-3 weeks.

This comes after the Merengues issued an official statement on Saturday confirming that they had made no contact, direct or indirect, with Olise or his camp to discuss any move.

The Spanish capital giants stressed in their statement that they share a strong relationship with Bayern Munich, built on mutual trust and respect.

As such, they will first approach the club for the 24-year-old French international, with an opening offer expected to be sent in the next couple of weeks or so.

Bayern do not wish to sell

However, as has already been reported, Bayern Munich have zero intentions of selling Olise, who was easily one of their best players this past season.

The Bavarians, instead, intend to offer him a new contract and make him one of the highest earners at the club to stave off interest from Real Madrid as well as PSG.

Therefore, negotiations will not be easy and it will likely take a massive offer, one exceeding the €200 million mark, to get Bayern Munich to the negotiating table for Olise.

The Bundesliga champions are expected to speak to the winger directly in the coming weeks to understand his intentions – whether he wishes to stay and renew or leave for Real Madrid. His response could decide how things go forward.

Either way, it will not be a straightforward move and one that could drag on until the end of the transfer window in late August.
