In a recent report, Fichajes revealed that Real Madrid playmaker Brahim Diaz is generating interest from Saudi Arabia. It has been claimed that an undisclosed club from Saudi Arabia are showing interest in recruiting the Moroccan talent from the Madrid club this summer.

Diaz’s Decent Run Of Form In Spanish Football

Diaz managed to prove his worth at times for Los Blancos on the offensive end of the field in the previous campaign. The Moroccan talent found the back of the net six times and picked up eight assists in 56 matches for Real Madrid last season across various competitions.

The 25-year-old managed to give a good account of himself in the final third as he averaged 1.82 shots per 90 minutes in La Liga. He kept 53.6% of his attempts on target. Diaz was even accurate when distributing possession in the opponent’s half after making 86.8% of his attempted passes in the Spanish top tier (stats via fbref.com).

His current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will run out in the summer of 2027. Hence, Real Madrid are in no immediate need to cut him loose this off-season.

Should Real Madrid Boss Xabi Alonso Cash In On Diaz This Summer?

Diaz is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and usually generates a lot of power with his shot attempts. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates to find the back of the net.

The Moroccan talent can contribute by scoring and creating a lot of important goals for his team in the final third. He is primarily a right-winger but can also fill in as a left-sided wide player or play in the number ten position as an attacking midfielder if told to do so by his manager.

Diaz’s versatility has made him a key asset for Los Blancos over the past 12 months. However, he might struggle to secure regular first-team starts if he stays at Real Madrid beyond this summer.

At 25, Diaz has his best years ahead of him. Still, the Madrid outfit would be wise to cash in on him and use the money generated from his potential sale to strengthen other areas of their match-day squad this summer.
