Tension continues to rise within Real Madrid, with one issue after another continuing to pop up for the administration to deal with.

Last week, it was the chaos involving Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni, which erupted into a physical fight, ending with the former needing a visit to the hospital.

Now, it is the war of words between superstar forward Kylian Mbappe and manager Alvaro Arbeloa, who has already had problems with several other players in the locker room.

Order and control – the key objective

Given the situation, AS reports that attention is already turning toward rebuilding authority and structure within the squad.

The priority now is to restore the values, order, discipline and competitive identity within the locker room that the club believe have weakened this season.

And, in order to achieve that, Real Madrid are prepared to make difficult decisions and take drastic measures if necessary in order to regain control of the dressing room.

Mourinho appointment the first step

The Real Madrid dressing room is currently seen as fractured, lacking leadership and unity both on and off the pitch.

And the responsibility of reinstating the order and control in the locker room is expected to fall to Jose Mourinho, who is the overwhelming favourite to become Real Madrid’s next manager if nothing changes.

Beyond that, it is expected that club president Florentino Perez will also have direct involvement in resolving the issues that have cropped up.

As already reported, Perez is set to hold a direct face-to-face meeting with Mbappe to address several situations that have created concern within the dressing room over recent months.

The message from the board is clear: discipline, hierarchy and collective commitment must return.
