According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid are considering improving Arda Guler’s contract on the condition that he maintains his starting role throughout the season and continues to perform at a high level.
The 20-year-old midfielder joined the club in 2023 and currently has a contract until 2029.
After a difficult couple of seasons under former manager Carlo Ancelotti, Guler has now secured a place in Xabi Alonso’s starting XI, becoming one of the team’s standout performers this season.
As such, it is known that Guler is very happy with his current situation, and within the club, there is surprise about how little he played under Ancelotti.
But for both the player and the team, the focus is firmly on the present and the future.
With his current form, the young midfielder has proven he deserves a higher salary, and Real Madrid are already exploring ways to reward him, even though there is no urgent pressure thanks to his existing contract and high buyout clause.

The report mentions that currently, Guler earns €5.2 million gross (€2.6 million net), making him one of the lowest-paid players in the squad.
Real Madrid are reportedly considering extending his contract until 2031 and raising his salary to €4.5 million net.
This move would be a reward for what could become a stellar season if he continues performing at his current level.
Despite the challenging times he faced earlier at the club, Guler has never wanted to leave Real Madrid.
He has adapted seamlessly to life in the city, the country, and the club. His only concern has been the opportunity to play more regularly and show his full potential.
Now, with consistent game time under Alonso, Guler has the chance to prove himself as a key player for the club, and Real Madrid are ready to acknowledge his contribution both on and off the pitch.
