In what has become quite the pattern in recent years, Real Madrid look set to lose out on yet another star veteran at the end of this season.
The player in question is Dani Carvajal. After more than a decade at Real Madrid, the veteran looks set to leave the club at the end of the season, when his contract comes to an end.
Carvajal is aware that his role at Real Madrid has diminished and is reportedly ready to take the final step of his career by moving to Qatar.
According to MARCA, Real Madrid are ready to respect Carvajal’s wishes by allowing him to move to Qatar this summer.
Carvajal’s exit will leave a hole in the right-back position, leaving Trent Alexander-Arnold as the only natural option in the position. Not to mention, the Englishman has struggled with injuries.

Nevertheless, Carvajal is likely to move to Qatar, with various reports pointing to a move to Al Gharafa as he looks to reunite with his former teammate and brother-in-law, Joselu.
Joselu and Carvajal share a close bond, with the latter even visiting Qatar to meet the former Real Madrid striker at the end of last year.
That visit, in fact, sparked the rumours of Carvajal potentially leaving the club to join Al Gharafa next season, although other media outlets at the time had also denied these rumours.
But as things stand, Carvajal will call an end to his chapter at Real Madrid at the end of the season and embark on a new adventure elsewhere.
