Real Madrid are reportedly set to focus their efforts in the coming weeks on making sales following their fast start to the transfer window. After four signings, exits are expected to follow, but there is some doubt over whether they will consider a major sale.

One of the names in doubt is Aurelien Tchouameni, who has attracted the interest of Premier League giants Manchester United. The Red Devils have been credited with strong interest in Tchouameni, as they look to replace Casemiro, and Real Madrid have not shut the door on a potential move for the Frenchman. He has two years remaining on his deal at the Santiago Bernabeu, and if they are not to offer him a new contract, then this summer would be the logical time to sell.

According to Indykaila, Real Madrid received an €82m bid for Tchouameni on Monday afternoon. They do not confirm that it is United who have made the bid, but their suspicion is that this is the case. Nevertheless, the expectation is that Los Blancos will turn down the offer. It is logical that they would turn down a first offer, and there has been a suggestion that they will seek €100m for his services.

Uncertainty in midfield for Real Madrid

It was thought that a deeper midfielder was priority for Los Blancos this summer, but unless Jose Mourinho considers Bernardo Silva is main option there, then it has been put on the backburner. If Tchouameni were to leave, then it would leave another position open at the base of midfield, with Mourinho set to play a 4-2-3-1 formation for the most part. Fede Valverde, Silva and Jude Bellingham would all be options to play there too, but certainly Valverde and Bellingham have done their best work further forward.
