La Liga giants Real Madrid have all but secured the signing of Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The only matter which remains to be ironed out is whether the Englishman arrives this month, or in the summer upon the expiration of his Liverpool contract.

That’s according to Marca, who have on Thursday provided a fresh insight into the situation.

The name of defender Alexander-Arnold has of course dominated the headlines in Spain’s capital for some time now.

This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the brass at Real Madrid had set their sights firmly on the signature of the 26-year-old.

Efforts towards a deal were then ramped up yet further upon Dani Carvajal being struck down by a long-term injury blow.

And, as alluded to above, if the latest word to have surfaced in the media on Thursday is anything to go by, then TAA, for all intents and purposes, can be considered a Blancos player.

As per Marca:

‘Alexander Arnold’s future is at Real Madrid, pending the announcement of his arrival date either in the January transfer market or on the contrary from June 30. The player’s yes is in their pocket.’
