Real Madrid star admits ‘I hope I have a son who hates football | OneFootball

A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has confirmed that, in the case of having a son in the future, he is hopeful that the boy does not like football.

The player in question? Kylian Mbappé.

Frontman Mbappé is for his part of course widely regarded as one of the standout players in world football.

After lighting up the stage in his home country of France for so many years, the 26-year-old made the call to take his talents to Spain in the summer of 2024.

And Mbappé has since gone on to dazzle in La Liga, too.

In his debut campaign in the colours of Real Madrid, Mbappé racked up a hefty 43 goals.

Such endeavours have over the course of his career culminated in glory on the biggest stage in the World Cup, countless individual honours, and the money and fame which come with the life of a top-level athlete.

As alluded to above, though, if his latest comments are anything to go by, then as much does not appear to have been enough to enable Mbappé to see past the accompanying drawbacks of a career in football.

Speaking during an interview with L’Équipe this week, the French international was not shy in admitting:

“If I didn’t have this passion, the world of football would have disgusted me a long time ago. I hope I have a son who hates football.”
