A headline member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid enjoyed an outing to remember on the international front on Sunday.

This came owing to his exploits in the meeting between France and Germany.

The player in question? Aurélien Tchouaméni.

Versatile midfielder Tchouaméni was for his part restored to France’s starting XI this afternoon, as Les Bleus locked horns with the aforementioned Germany in a Nations League 3rd-place playoff.

And to say that the 25-year-old went on to justify his inclusion would be something of an understatement.

Tchouaméni was responsible for setting up his country’s opener in an eventual 2-0 win, courtesy of a pinpoint long-range delivery to Kylian Mbappé at the back post.

And this was just one of a whole host of accurate passes on the part of the former Monaco man on the day.

As revealed by Sofascore, Tchouaméni completed each and every one of his 34 passes against Germany.

This includes a hugely impressive seven of seven long balls.

On top of as much, he managed three key passes, four of five ground duels won, a blocked shot and a clearance.

A fine day’s work for the Real Madrid star.
