Real Madrid star sends apology message to club’s fans after Liverpool defeat | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has taken to social media, to send a message of apology to the club’s fanbase.

This, of course, comes fresh off an altogether disappointing night’s work for Los Blancos on the continent.

After making the trip to Anfield for a Champions League meeting with Liverpool on Wednesday, Real were ultimately put to the sword by two goals to nil.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side were widely criticised for their performance on Merseyside, despite having been ravaged by injuries.

And one individual who has today made clear his opinion that such personnel problems are no excuse for the performance put forth by he and his teammates comes in the form of the aforementioned Jude Bellingham.

Midfielder Bellingham for his part featured from the off on Wednesday, but struggled to have any impact of note on proceedings against Liverpool.

Taking to his official Instagram account two days on, the England international, in turn, unveiled a message of collective gratitude and apology to the Real Madrid faithful:

‘Always one step forward and two steps back at the moment, really disappointing performance and result despite the brilliant opponent. Must thank and apologise to all the Madridistas that followed us in England. No point dwelling on what we can no longer change, we have to remain together and push each other in this next important stretch of games! Hala Madrid Siempre.’
