Real Madrid star Franco Mastantuono has taken to social media, to send a message of support and well wishes the way of Lionel Messi and his fellow countrymen.

This of course comes ahead of the fast-approaching World Cup final.

Argentina are primed to return to action in short order, in New York. After battling their way beyond England in the competition’s semi-final, the Albiceleste have been pitted against a long-unbeaten Spain in the World Cup’s showcase fixture.

The aforementioned Franco Mastantuono was ultimately left out of Lionel Scaloni’s final squad for the tournament, after a difficult debut campaign on the books of Real Madrid.

But as alluded to above, the 18-year-old has today made clear that his backing for his nation remains unequivocal.

Taking to his official Instagram account on Sunday evening, Mastantuono unveiled a photo of he and Lionel Messi embracing whilst lining out for Argentina, accompanied by the caption:

‘No matter what happens’
