Real Madrid star to miss international break through injury | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Federico Valverde is set to sit out the November international break owing to an injury setback.

This comes after the 27-year-old picked up a problem during Los Blancos’ La Liga meeting with Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.

Featuring from the off at Vallecas at right-back, Valverde was forced to limp out of the action late on.

Put through a round of medical tests back at Valdebebas on Monday morning, Real Madrid then released the following medical report on their midfield standout:

‘Following tests carried out today on our player Fede Valverde by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the semimembranosus muscle in his right thigh. His recovery will be assessed.’

And as alluded to above, an insight into just how long Valverde is expected to be sidelined as a result has since followed.

As per a report from Blancos insider Melchor Ruiz of COPE, the Uruguayan will not link up with his national team for the November break.

As much comes with Valverde expected to be out of action for around 15 days.
