Real Madrid youngster Fran González has on Saturday secured for himself a special piece of club history.

This comes owing to his appearance in Real’s meeting with Valencia.

Los Blancos are of course currently locked in action, in a La Liga meeting with relegation-battling Valencia in the Spanish capital.

And the presence of the aforementioned Fran has proven the headline talking point surrounding the clash to date.

With both Thibaut Courtois and Andriy Lunin ruled out through injury, Real Madrid’s highly-regarded young goalkeeper was afforded his senior debut on Saturday.

And as alluded to above, in the process, Fran made history.

As revealed by Marca, the 19-year-old is the fifth youngest goalkeeper to ever take to the pitch for Real Madrid.

Not only that, but he is the youngest to take to take to the pitch in the colours of Los Blancos since club legend Iker Casillas.
