Real Madrid have a plethora of options up front this season under Xabi Alonso, with Gonzalo Garcia Torres adding himself to that variety, and no departures occurring. Yet with Alonso thus far using mostly two out and out forwards, with Franco Mastantuono appearing on the right, opportunities will come at a premium.
That much has been most evident with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes, with the pair splitting the three starts alongside Kylian Mbappe this season in La Liga. The French forward is a guarantee up front, and Garcia has been one of the substitutes off the bench in the final third during each of their three clashes so far.
The emergence of Garcia has cast doubt over the future of Endrick Felipe, who is set to see his already meagre opportunities reduced, at least in theory. Juventus and AC Milan were both interested in a loan move for Endrick in the summer, but the Brazilian, in spite of the heavy speculation, was adamant that he was remaining at the Santiago Bernabeu. The 19-year-old has been out injured since May, and is set to return betweeen mid-September and October after a recurrence of his hamstring injury, and has not yet had the chance to show Alonso what he can do.

According to Sport, Valencia were one of the clubs that enquired about the Brazil international over the summer, and will do so again ahead of the January transfer market. Los Che are interested in bringing in Endrick, where he could be given more opportunities under Carlos Corberan. Currently, Hugo Duro is the only natural number nine available to him, while Lucas Beltran and Arnaut Danjuma can play through the middle, following a failed move for Umar Sadiq.
