Real Madrid’s 0-1 defeat to Getafe did not just hurt their pride. It has now created a serious problem ahead of their next La Liga fixture.
The loss at the Santiago Bernabeu ended in frustration, and that tension spilt over into disciplinary trouble.
As a result, Madrid will be without three players for Friday’s league match against Celta Vigo.
The most dramatic moment came deep into added time, when Young Argentine forward Franco Mastantuono was shown a straight red card in the 95th minute.
Referee Alejandro Muniz Ruiz dismissed him after an exchange that was later detailed in the official report.
According to the document, Mastantuono said, “What a shame, what a f88king disgrace,” which led to his immediate sending off.
The disciplinary issues did not stop there, as just two minutes earlier, Alvaro Carreras committed a late challenge on Mario Martin.

The foul resulted in a yellow card, which was his fifth of the season. This means he is suspended for the trip to Vigo.
In the same sequence, Vinicius Jr. also received a yellow card for protesting and attempting to lift Mario Martin from the ground after the incident.
Meanwhile, midway through the second half, Dean Huijsen was also booked for a foul from behind on Luis Vazquez.
Like Carreras, it was his fifth yellow card, which automatically rules him out of the next league game.
For manager Alvaro Arbeloa, the timing could not be worse. With three players suspended, squad depth will be tested against a Celta side that can be dangerous at home.
The Getafe defeat was already damaging from a sporting perspective, and now, with suspensions piling up, its consequences extend beyond just one result.
