Amidst all the noise surrounding the divide in the dressing room following the fight between Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni, Real Madrid players turned up to training today as they prepare for El Clasico.

The Spanish capital giants face off against arch-rivals FC Barcelona on Sunday night at the Spotify Camp Nou, hoping to get all three points and delay the Catalans’ title celebrations.

Kylian Mbappe back in training

Leading up to the big game, Real Madrid have received positive news on the fitness front as Kylian Mbappe completed the full group training session today, according to Abraham Romero.

The 27-year-old French superstar suffered an injury last week in the game against Real Betis, in what was his 100th appearance for Los Blancos.

It resulted in him missing the clash against RCD Espanyol over the weekend. A trip to Italy during those days caused a lot of controversy, but the forward remained fully focused on his recovery.

Having passed the club’s medical check-ups on Thursday, Mbappe did a part of the group session then.

Today, however, he has taken a step further and completed the entire group training session, furthering his chances of being fully ready for the Clasico.

Despite this, the chances of him starting against Barcelona on Sunday night are slim, with Real Madrid’s top goalscorer most likely to be used as a substitute off the bench.

So far this season, Mbappe has managed 41 goals and six assists from 41 matches across all competitions. With the La Liga top-scorer race heating up, he will aim to end the season strongly and win the Pichichi Trophy once again.
