An up-and-coming member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is wanted by Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.

The player in the sights of the Germans? Víctor Valdepeñas.

Youngster Valdepeñas, for his part, is a 19-year-old defender, capable of lining out at either centre-back or left-back.

Long hailed as a potential future star in the making, the Spaniard was afforded his first-team bow by Real Madrid last season, featuring from the off in a La Liga victory over Deportivo Alavés.

With a trio of defensive reinforcements having already arrived at the Bernabéu this summer, though, Valdepeñas has been increasingly tipped to move on, in search of consistent senior minutes.

And as alluded to above, the identity of one suitor who appear ready to offer Valdepeñas precisely that next season have this weekend been revealed.

As per a report from transfer market journalist Matteo Moretto of Marca:

‘Eintracht Frankfurt are pushing for [the signing of] Víctor Valdepeñas.’
