It is known that Real Madrid are already planning for the 2026 season, with a clear focus on strengthening the midfield and securing promising talent.

Now, according to AS, the club has two players in its sights, namely, Chema Andres, currently impressing at Stuttgart, and homegrown prospect Nico Paz.

Both are seen as key additions to rejuvenate the squad and provide depth for critical positions.

Chema has caught the eye at Stuttgart with his consistent performances and ability to control games from midfield.

Real Madrid view him as a strong backup to Aurelien Tchouameni, who is considered irreplaceable but needs support.

Meanwhile, Chema has started eight of Stuttgart’s 10 games this season, even outshining settled teammate Angelo Stiller for a starting spot.

The club estimates that bringing Chema back would cost around €10 million, potentially reduced to €6-7 million after factoring in Stuttgart’s expected contribution from his departure.

His form makes him a realistic and appealing option for Madrid’s midfield plans.

Nico Paz, on the other hand, is part of Real Madrid’s longer-term strategy. The club has verbally assured the young talent that he is in their plans for 2026, though nothing has been formally signed.

The projected cost to secure his return is €9 million next summer, rising slightly to €10 million in 2027.

For Real Madrid, these moves are about balance and foresight. They aim to secure a reliable option to support Tchouameni while also integrating a promising homegrown player in Nico.

While other alternatives, such as Adam Wharton, exist, Chema Andres currently stands out as a cost-effective and proven performer.

Together, Chema and Nico could provide the perfect mix of experience and potential, reinforcing Madrid’s squad for the challenges of 2026 and beyond.
