Florentino Perez won the Real Madrid presidential election on Sunday, and as a result, he will bid €150m for an unnamed player in the coming days. It has been reported that the player in question is Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise, although a surprise name has started to gain traction in the last few hours.

It’s believed that a superstar forward is wanted by Perez to complete a star-studded attack that also features Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe. Olise would have provided good balance on the right, but as it turns out, a striker may be the one to arrive.

That’s because rumours have started regarding possible Real Madrid interest in Julian Alvarez. The Atletico Madrid striker, who is being courted by the likes of Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, has been linked with a shock move to the Bernabeu, which has led Fabrizio Romano to seek clarification on the matter.

Romano revealed on his YouTube channel that he consulted sources with both Real Madrid and Perez’s camp, and they each gave the same response when asked about Alvarez – no comment. The fact that no denial was made gives hope that the Argentina international could be the €150m signing that is made this summer.

Atleti have already made it clear to Barcelona in particular that they do not want to sell Alvarez this summer, although they would consider a sale if an offer reached €150m. If it is confirmed that he is the mystery player that Perez wants, it would mean that Real Madrid are willing to match the price on offer, thus making a hijack very likely.
