Following the early exit of the team from the UEFA Champions League, Real Madrid have been making some major changes to their transfer plans for the summer.
While the initial idea was to reinforce the right-back position only, Los Blancos now understand the need to bolster other areas in the squad as well.
One such department that the Spanish capital giants wish to strengthen is the left-back position considering that Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia have both failed to make the desired impact.
Now, according to Sky Sports, AFC Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez has emerged as a transfer target for Real Madrid heading into the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old Hungarian defender has been a revelation for the Cherries this season, registering two goals and six assists from 33 Premier League appearances.
A modern-day attack-minded full-back, Kerkez has caught the attention of not only Real Madrid, but two other European giants in Liverpool and Manchester City.

It must be noted that current Liverpool director, Richard Hughes, was the one who signed the young defender at Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar back in 2023.
As mentioned earlier, neither Mendy nor Garcia have been convincing enough as Real Madrid’s starting left-backs this season.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti at times has even been forced to use the likes of Eduardo Camavinga and David Alaba, and the experiment has not always worked.
As such, bringing in an upgrade in the left-back position would make a lot of sense for Real Madrid.
The idea of re-signing Miguel Gutierrez from Girona by utilising the €8 million buyback clause is being considered, but Kerkez is also very much a target for the Merengues.
So, it will be interesting to see if they decide to raid Bournemouth for Kerkez or take an alternate path.
