José Mourinho could move for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande if he returns to Real Madrid this summer, with the Ivorian mentioned as a possible successor to Vinícius Júnior.

Sport Bild, citing sources in Spain, reports that Mourinho has identified Diomande among his preferred targets amid uncertainty over Vinícius Júnior’s future.

After a breakout Bundesliga season, Diomande has indicated he is willing to stay at Leipzig for at least another year, with the club planning to table an improved contract.

Even so, Leipzig could be tempted by an extraordinary offer, likely closer to €150 million than €100 million.

Diomande will now head to the World Cup with Côte d’Ivoire, and impressive displays there could nudge his valuation towards the upper end of that range.
