Every summer seems to bring the same challenge for Brahim Diaz at Real Madrid: new arrivals, increased competition and another battle for minutes.
Yet the 27-year-old continues to approach each season the same way, trusting his ability to earn his place.
That process began once again this week as Brahim returned to Valdebebas after his World Cup break, determined to prove his value under Jose Mourinho, reports AS.
Brahim reported back to Real Madrid 25 days after Morocco’s World Cup campaign ended with a 2-0 defeat to France in the quarter-finals.
His return coincided with his 27th birthday, making it a memorable day that began with medical examinations before his first training session of pre-season.
Despite regular transfer speculation, Real Madrid remain fully committed to the attacking midfielder.

The club reached an agreement last season to extend his contract until 2030, although the official announcement has yet to be made.
Interest from clubs such as Juventus has never progressed beyond enquiries, with neither Brahim nor Real Madrid showing any desire to part ways.
The arrival of Mourinho has only strengthened Brahim’s position. The Portuguese coach values the Moroccan’s versatility, tactical intelligence and willingness to work for the team.
Whether operating centrally, on either wing or as a second striker, Brahim offers flexibility that fits Mourinho’s tactical approach.
Even so, earning playing time will not be easy this season at Real Madrid.
The arrivals of Bernardo Silva and the expected addition of Yan Diomande have made competition in attack even stronger.
Rather than seeing that as a problem, Mourinho believes Brahim and Bernardo share similar qualities, with both capable of filling multiple roles across the attacking line.

That versatility is one of the reasons the coach continues to view Brahim as an important member of the squad.
The Moroccan international also returns full of confidence following an impressive World Cup campaign.
He finished the tournament as the competition’s second-highest assist provider with four assists, further establishing himself as one of Morocco’s standout performers.
Now another challenge awaits. New signings have increased competition once again, but Brahim’s approach remains unchanged.
As he has done throughout his Real Madrid career, he intends to fight for his place and prove his importance all over again.
