Real Madrid’s youth system continues to shine as reports suggest that Dani Carvajal, the club’s trusted right-back, has voiced his support for giving a Castilla player a chance in the senior team.
According to a report from Defensa Central, Carvajal has recommended 22-year-old Loren Aguado, a promising right-back, as a potential option for the position.
While Carvajal is known to admire high-profile players like Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jeremie Frimpong, his belief in the club’s youth development system takes precedence.
Carvajal, who himself rose through Real Madrid’s renowned La Fabrica academy, is deeply connected to the system and the people within it.
He has spent time training alongside many of the youth players, which has strengthened his admiration for Loren Aguado. The Castilla defender has made a strong impression on Carvajal, and his qualities as a player have not gone unnoticed.

Carvajal is said to have shared his positive opinion about Aguado with both the coaching staff and the club’s management, urging them to consider the young defender as a future first-team option.
“He’s very good, he has the characteristics of a great player,” the defender told the club.
With Real Madrid’s packed schedule this season, opportunities for rotation will be crucial. Lucas Vazquez will need rest, and while Federico Valverde has shown his versatility in covering multiple positions, relying on youth players like Aguado could prove beneficial.
Giving academy players such opportunities not only helps ease the workload of first-team regulars but also allows the club to develop future stars internally.
The coaching staff is reportedly open to the idea of integrating more youth players when senior players are unavailable due to injuries, suspensions, or fatigue.
Aguado’s development could mirror the success of other academy graduates, especially Raul Asencio, who have stepped into crucial roles for Real Madrid.
His potential, combined with the backing of a senior figure like Carvajal, makes him an exciting prospect for the team’s future.
