Real Madrid and Manchester City meet in a huge UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday, with a quarter-final place on the line.
City must overturn a 3-0 deficit from the first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu, while Real Madrid are aiming to finish the job and continue their European journey this season.
Real Madrid travel to Manchester with a commanding aggregate lead but a lengthy injury list that has stretched Alvaro Arbeloa’s options in several areas of the pitch.
Kylian Mbappe, who was ruled out for the first leg match against City last week and didn’t play in Madrid’s last five matches, is back in training and will travel to Manchester.
Jude Bellingham, Alvaro Carreras and David Alaba have also been named in the squad. However, Eder Militao and Rodrygo remain out, while Dani Ceballos faces several weeks out with a calf problem and will not feature in Manchester.
Rail Asencio is another player who is nursing a muscle issue. With multiple players out, the team is likely to still be with last week’s squad.
Federico Valverde is in strong form and scored a hat-trick last time out and will be pivotal in their build-up play, along with Arda Guler.
While Vinicius Junior missed a penalty against Manchester City last week, he is still expected to continue in attack.
Possible Real Madrid starting XI: Courtois; Alexander-Arnold, Huijsen, Rudiger, Carreras; Valverde, Tchouameni, Camavinga; Diaz, Guler, Vinicius Jr.
The match will kick off at 8pm BST on Tuesday, 17th March.
In the UK, the match will be shown live on TNT Sports.
