Real Madrid’s interest in Bundesliga star is ‘growing’ | OneFootball

The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid are ready to ramp up their pursuit of one of German football’s standout midfield talents.

That’s according to Marca, who point towards Angelo Stiller as the player in question.

Stiller, for his part, spent this past season continuing to build on his reputation as a potential star in the making in the Bundesliga.

Plying his trade with Stuttgart, the 24-year-old racked up 47 appearances across all competitions, chipping in with four goals and 11 assists along the way.

Stiller, though, is so much more than simply his numbers.

The German international is a player capable of controlling the tempo of a match, be it from an orthodox position in the middle of the park, or a more deep-lying role.

And it is precisely such characteristics which are understood to have piqued the attentions of the aforementioned Real Madrid.

Amid an ongoing search for a long-term replacement for Toni Kroos, Stiller, it would appear, has been earmarked as the perfect profile.

As per a report from Marca, in turn:

‘The shopping list between the sporting directors and Xabi Alonso includes a need to bring in a man who can act as the brains behind Real Madrid’s game. Among those names is Angelo Stiller. Interest in the player is growing.’
