Real Madrid’s pursuit of defensive starlet confirmed | OneFootball

The interest of La Liga giants Real Madrid in RC Lens talent Abdukodir Khusanov has on Tuesday been confirmed.

The name of youngster Khusanov has of course emerged as a prominent one in the media headlines in Spain early this week.

As much comes after word stemming from France pointed towards Los Blancos as having joined the race for the Uzbek international’s signature.

Amid their ongoing search for long-term reinforcements at the back, Florentino Pérez and co. are understood to have earmarked Khusanov as one potential option.

All of a Real persuasion, in turn, will no doubt be interested to hear of their side’s interest, on Tuesday, being confirmed.

As per the reliable José Félix Díaz of Marca:

‘The right-footed centre-back from Lens has been linked with Manchester City and there has even been talk of a possible move to the English side. Now it is Real Madrid who have appeared on the defender’s horizon, with monitoring taking place since the start of the season.’

Khusanov’s price-tag is said to sit somewhere in excess of €20 million.
