Real Sociedad have suffered another defensive setback ahead of Sunday’s meeting with Atlético Madrid at Anoeta, 21:00. Igor Zubeldia has been left out of the squad with right hamstring discomfort, adding to the suspension of Jon Martín.

Diario Vasco reports that Pellegrino Matarazzo will be without the starting centre-backs who began the season, and must form a new pairing from Mamadou Sarr, Jon Pacheco and Luken Beitia, the three specialist options named in the midday squad.

It remains to be seen whether Zubeldia’s issue will clear in time for next week’s Europa League opener against Bournemouth.

Elsewhere in the list there are no surprises, with all other available players included.

Sanse forward Gorka Carrera is also called up, despite starting on Saturday against Andorra.
