Real Sociedad’s search for their first summer signing continues, with Malang Sarr emerging as the latest defensive candidate.

According to Foot Mercato, the 27-year-old French centre-back is on the club’s radar after his Lens contract expired, and there is interest from other teams too.

Sarr’s natural role is left-sided centre-back, a profile the txuri-urdin are actively looking to add.

He made his Ligue 1 debut at 17 and has since had spells with Porto, Chelsea and Monaco.

Real plan to strengthen with at least one defender and one attacking player this window, and could seek an additional signing if departures create room.
