Liverpool have got a top academy talent surging through their ranks.
Joshua Abe, 15, has recently made the step up to Under-18 and UEFA Youth League sides. His talent is too good to be contained in his own age group.
But the Premier League champions are running into a spot of contract bother over the Warrington-born winger. Abe - given his age - is only permitted a scholar’s contract offer and as of right now he hasn’t signed one.
The England U16 international won’t be eligible for a pro deal until he turns 17 in 2027 - and that opens the door to rival bids.
Real Madrid - as well as certain Premier League sides - are thought to be keen on contracting Abe who is signed up to Tyler Alexander-Arnold’s PLG agency.
Madrid recently rolled out the red carpet for the left-footer to visit the Bernabeu and Liverpool have had to pull out all the stops to entice him to stay.
Incredibly Abe has ALREADY been called up to train with Arne Slot’s first team - where he is seen as a potential long-term replacement for Mo Salah.
