Michael Olise is certainly making headlines these days. He’s playing at a high level for France in the World Cup and has a good chance of winning the title with the Equipe Tricolore. And there are also recurring rumors about a possible transfer. 

As early as this spring, Liverpool FC was weighing its options. Now, nearly every top club has its sights set on the Frenchman. Real Madrid is also said to be interested in him, viewing him as a potential top signing.

And this is despite the fact that Bayern officials have now repeatedly shut the door on the possibility. To avoid jeopardizing its relationship with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid was even compelled to issue a statement recently, in which it clearly denied having any contact with Michael Olise. 

Hainer had been in contact with Real Madrid

FC Bayern plans to hold talks with Olise’s camp after the World Cup this summer and attempt to extend his contract—ideally through 2031. If that succeeds, the club would once again have planning certainty.

Interesting: Herbert Hainer, the president of FC Bayern, has now confirmed that he was in contact with Real Madrid. Speaking to the Abendzeitung , Hainer said : “We at FC Bayern have a very good relationship with Real, and accordingly, they contacted me to say that, first of all, they have absolutely no contact with Michael Olise, and second, they don’t want this constant speculation in the media.”

Should Real President Florentino Pérez nevertheless decide to inquire about the player in the near future, the answer will be exactly as recently reported in the media.

“I’ve said this before: If Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez had that in mind, he can save himself the trouble, because we don’t want to sell Michael,” Hainer emphasized.
