In their search for a replacement for Ewen Jaouen (20), transfered to Newcastle United for a fee of nearly €30 million – a Ligue 2 record -, Stade de Reims are reportedly on the verge of securing the services of TSV Hartberg goalkeeper Tom Ritzy Hülsmann (22), according to Le Parisien.

As the last line of defence for the Styrian club, which he helped to finish sixth in the Austrian Bundesliga at the end of the 2025-26 season, the German enjoyed a stellar campaign, capped by being named the league’s best goalkeeper.

Having made 33 appearances in goal for TSV, Hülsmann kept 10 clean sheets, conceding a total of 42 goals across all competitions. A more than respectable record for the Bayern Munich academy graduate, who only joined the Austrian club last summer.

In Reims, the Trier-born player will now have the opportunity to take his young career to the next level, as he is set to sign a five-year contract. His transfer, valued at between €2.5 and €3 million, is set to become the biggest in Hartberg’s history.
