Burnley and Wolves ended their already-relegated Premier League seasons with a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor, in a match that had pride as the only real prize on offer.
The game burst into life early when Wolves were awarded a penalty after a VAR review ruled Florentino had handled in the box. Adam Armstrong stepped up and calmly sent Max Weiss the wrong way to give the visitors a quick lead.
Wolves had chances to extend their advantage, with Mateus Mané forcing a fine save and Santiago Bueno somehow hitting the post from close range as Burnley struggled to settle in the first half.
The hosts improved after the break and found an immediate response, with Zian Flemming finishing neatly from the edge of the area just two minutes into the second half to level the score.
Both sides had moments to win it late on, including a goal-line scramble and a couple of half-chances, but neither could find a decisive second goal.
In the end, the draw summed up two difficult campaigns, with Burnley finishing 19th and Wolves bottom of the table after a long, frustrating season for both clubs.
