There are dates which, in the minds and hearts of each and every one of us, inevitably become moments of pure collective memory.

Since 1995, 25 April has been one such day. It is not merely the remembrance of a champion who passed away far too soon, but a tribute to a young man who left an indelible mark on the history of Juventus and in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

We miss everything about Andrea Fortunato, starting with his simplicity, for he embodied the authenticity of a young man who was scaling the heights of Italian football with the elegance of a gentleman. Above all, however, what remains etched in our minds is his indescribable strength of character. Even when life presented him with the cruellest and most unjust of challenges, Andrea never allowed pain to extinguish his inner light.

Fate was merciless, taking from us first and foremost a friend and a golden man, and leaving a void that, decades on, continues to weigh as heavily as it did on the very first day. Yet time has not dimmed his memory; if anything, it has crystallised it, making him an integral part of our Club’s soul.

In our hearts and minds, dear Andrea, you will always have a special place.
