Vasco landed in Buenos Aires in the early hours of Monday ahead of Tuesday’s Copa Sudamericana opener against Barracas Central at 19h, Brasília time. Twenty-five players made the trip, with Renato Gaúcho choosing to rest most regulars and not travelling himself, so assistant Marcelo Salles will lead the side.

Atenção Vascaínos reports that Léo Jardim, Paulo Henrique, Saldivia, Robert Renan, Cuiabano, Lucas Piton, Thiago Mendes, Tchê Tchê, Rojas, Andrés Gómez, David and Brenner were not selected.

Piton is unavailable due to suspension from last year’s Sudamericana qualifying, when he was sent off in the first leg of the second phase against Del Valle. He received a two match ban and has served only one in 2025.

Before the game, the squad will train at Boca Juniors’ training centre on Monday. The match will be played at Estadio Florencio Sola in Banfield.

Goalkeepers: Daniel Fuzato, Phillipe Gabriel and Pablo. Full backs: Puma Rodríguez, Breno Vereza, Avellar and Alison.

Centre backs: Carlos Cuesta, Lucas Freitas, Wallace Falcão and Bruno André. Midfielders: JP, Hugo Moura, Samuel Jesus, Ramon Rique, Gustavinho, Matheus França and Lukas Zucarello.

Forwards: Adson, Marino Hinestroza, JV Fonseca, known as Mutano, Nuno Moreira, Spinelli, Andrey Fernandes and Juninho.
