Rennes host Nantes in Ligue 1 at Roazhon Park on Sunday, 26 April 2026, with fifth place targeting European consolidation and the visitors trying to claw clear of relegation trouble.
The reverse fixture finished 2-2 in September 2025, and Rennes arrive in stronger shape in the table, while Nantes sit 17th in the drop zone.
Rennes have won three of their last five, including 3-0 at Strasbourg and 4-3 at Brest, plus a 2-1 home win over Angers. Les Canaris are winless in five, drawing three on the spin before a 3-0 defeat at Paris Saint-Germain.
Arnaud Nordin, Jérémy Jacquet and Lucas Rosier are sidelined for Rennes. Les Canaris have Francis Coquelin, Fabien Centonze, Kelvin Amian and Tylel Tati out.
With 52 league goals and average possession of 53%, Rennes could control territory and supply the division's leading scorer Estéban Lepaul, with Breel Embolo another threat after eight league goals. Les Canaris have scored 25 and conceded 49, so they may sit deep and look to spring Matthis Abline and Mostafa Mohamed in transition.
Rennes are fifth on 53 points and a win would strengthen their Europa League grip and could close the gap on the Champions League qualification places. Les Canaris are on 20 points and victory would lift them to 23, boosting survival hopes and edging them closer to safety.
