Barcelona’s transfer window has been spectacular so far, for it has destroyed so many of the stereotypes once had about the club’s board even until last season.
For the first time in years, every move of the administration appears to have a real sense of purpose and the planning of the club cannot be faulted. Joan Garcia’s signing and interest in Nico Williams, needless to say, are both positives.
What caught the attention of the club faithful today, however, is the quick progress in terms of the signing of Roony Bardghji, the young right-winger who is seen as one of the best talents in the position.
Barcelona are all set to land Bardghji, with an agreement over a €2.5 million fee reached with his club FC Copenhagen.
As relayed by Greame Bailey in a recent report, English giants Tottenham Hotspur were also interested in signing Bardghji this summer and directly competed with Joan Laporta’s side.
The youngster, however, prioritised a move only to Barcelona come what may, and thus rejected the offer from London before locking in on his final decision.

The decision, needless to say, is surprising given that the Catalans reportedly offer him no guarantee of first-team minutes and will likely register him with the recently relegated Barça Atletic.
Moreover, they have the best player in the world in the same department – Lamine Yamal – and Bardghji will thus find it difficult to establish himself as a starter.
The teenager’s decision to still persist with Barcelona, needless to say, reflects his self-belief and love for the club.
The 19-year-old star will have a chance to prove his worth in pre-season and will look to do enough to stay in the loop of Flick’s plans. After all, he could serve as a valuable backup to Yamal next season.
