Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio could reportedly leave the club after just two years to join Atalanta. According to Calciomercato, La Dea are ready to offer the 28-year-old an escape route from Turin this summer.
Michele Di Gregorio initially joined Juventus from Monza on a season-long loan in the summer of 2024. After an impressive maiden campaign at the Allianz Stadium, the Bianconeri made his transfer permanent last year for a reported fee of €20 million.
However, the Italian shot-stopper has endured a rough season. Despite registering 14 clean sheets in 30 Serie A appearances this term, Di Gregorio has fallen out of favor at Juventus. Luciano Spalletti had even benched him in March before reinstating him for the final stretch.
Nevertheless, the record-time Italian champions are reportedly ready to offload the Inter academy graduate. Moreover, it may take only €15 million for the Turin giants to sanction Di Gregorio’s sale, a substantial markdown on the price they paid to sign him 12 months ago.
Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is on the verge of moving to Atalanta. Should he take over the role in Bergamo, he will be looking to bring Di Gregorio to the New Balance Arena amid the uncertainty surrounding the future of Marco Carnesecchi.
Indeed, Carnesecchi is one of the most in-demand goalkeepers in Serie A, with Inter among the clubs vying for his signature. On the other hand, Di Gregorio, whose exit may offer Juventus a chance to pursue Liverpool stalwart Alisson Becker, would be a decent replacement for the 25-year-old.
