Bologna and Lazio could soon agree upon a complex swap deal involving Giovanni Fabbian despite Inter Milan having a buyback clause.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Biancocelesti would send Loum Tchaouna in the opposite direction.
However, Inter inserted a buyback clause in their agreement with Bologna in the summer of 2023.
Indeed, the defending Serie A champions can sign Giovanni Fabbian back at the end of the season for only €12 million.
Moreover, Simone Inzaghi’s men were seemingly willing to exercise that option amid the club’s effort to rejuvenate the aging squad.
Fabbian would join Lazio on loan until the end of the season, with Tchaouna moving to Renato Dall’Ara.
But Marco Baroni’s side would still need to meet Inter in the summer to discuss the 22-year-old’s future.

It’s a complex operation, yet negotiations between the clubs are underway.
Meanwhile, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan heading toward retirement, Simone Inzaghi would use a player of Fabbian’s potential.
Therefore, the Italian youngster’s fate is far from clear.
