Having been very quiet in January, Chelsea are once again expected to be busy in the summer, with a number of positions needing to be filled.

The Blues are said to still be in the market for a centre back, whilst they reportedly want to add another midfielder and attacker.

Chelsea accelerate interest in Alex Scott

It’s believed Chelsea are open to adding players with proven Premier League experience this summer, but fans will believe it when they see it.

Midfield is thought to be a priority with the Blues said to want to ease the burden on Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.

However, with doubts over Fernandez’s future, Chelsea might also be looking for a replacement for the World Cup winner, who’s been linked with Real Madrid.

A deal for Strasbourg’s Valentin Barco has reportedly been agreed, and The Independent have reported Chelsea have accelerated their interest in Scott.

The report adds Bournemouth would want well over £50m, but the fee could be higher depending on how many clubs show interest.

The Independent add the pursuit of Scott is viewed as separate to the future of Fernandez, with the 22-year-old set to be one of the most sought after players this summer.
