Chelsea are one of three Premier League clubs interested in Paris Saint Germain teenager Axel Tape according to reports.
The Blues are once again set for another busy summer, and could look to sell as many as seven or eight players to fund their business.
Chelsea face a critical summer as they look to sign a striker, centre back and right footed attacker to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad.
Chelsea are in desperate need of players with experience and leadership to come in and improve the quality of the first team.
The Blues are believed to be open to signing experience, and it’s said they were interested in signing Virgil van Dijk if he became available on a free.
However, Chelsea are unlikely to drastically change their model and have been linked with River Plate sensation Franco Mastantuono.

It appears the Blues are now targeting another youngster and Sports Zone have reported Chelsea hold interest in PSG youngster Tape.
They took to X.com and said:
“EXCL. Despite recent attempts, Paris now believes that Axel Tape will not reverse his decision: he will leave PSG this summer.
“While Bayer Leverkusen are in pole position, Bournemouth, Tottenham and Chelsea all have a high regard for his profile. Decision to come.”
The 17-year-old is a central defender, and is out of contract this summer, whilst the Frenchman has made three appearances for the first team this campaign.
Whilst Tape would be a signing for the future, the Blues are looking for a centre back to improve the first team, but missed out on main target Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid.
Chelsea are said to still be on keen on Marc Guehi who they tried to sign in January, and the the Crystal Palace captain will have just one year remaining on his contract this summer.

Jorrel Hato is another defensive target and the 19-year-old is a left back who can also play at centre back, although Liverpool are said to be interested.
The most important thing is the Blues bring in someone with leadership and experience to improve the backline ahead of next season.
