Serie A pacesetters Inter Milan are gearing up for their maiden Supercoppa Italiana appearance under Cristian Chivu.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 45-year-old manager has included three Primavera stars in his traveling squad.

Inter Milan will head to Saudi Arabia without several first-team regulars.

Indeed, Denzel Dumfries, Francesco Acerbi, Raffaele Di Gennaro, and Tomas Palacios remain on the sidelines.

Meanwhile, Hakan Calhanoglu and Matteo Darmian have made the cut despite their respective fitness setbacks.

Forced to make changes due to a growing injury list, Chivu has called upon several youngsters to fill vacant spots at the back.

As such, prodigious wingback Matteo Cocchi has found himself on the list of passengers.

Furthermore, Chivu has called up 21-year-old defender Simone Cinquegrano after losing Acerbi to a thigh issue.

Finally, Alain Taho will assume the role of a third-choice goalkeeper.

Inter will leave Italy after completing today’s training session, with the departure scheduled for 3.00 pm local time.
