Report – Cristian Chivu Urges Inter Milan To Sign Roma Midfielder This Summer | OneFootball

Inter Milan manager Cristian Chivu has informed the club of his ambition to sign Roma midfielder Manu Kone this summer.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInter1908, Chivu has earmarked the Frenchman as his top target for the upcoming transfer window.

Manu Kone has been on Inter’s shortlist since last summer. Furthermore, the Nerazzurri had tried to negotiate a deal with Roma but to no avail.

Despite failing to sign the 24-year-old a year ago, Inter have continued to monitor his progress at the Stadio Olimpico with keen attention.

Moreover, it appears that Cristian Chivu has received rave reports from his scouts, as he intends to sign Kone in the summer.

Though Gian Piero Gasperini is reportedly open to letting Kone join Inter, the French star won’t come cheap.

Indeed, the Giallorossi have slapped a massive €40 million price tag on their in-demand midfielder.

However, Inter could try to include at least one counterpart in a player-plus-cash deal to sign the former Borussia Monchengladbach ace.

According to the report, Davide Frattesi could be head in the opposite direction to facilitate Kone’s switch to San Siro.

In addition to the Italian midfielder, Carlos Augusto is another name evaluated by the Nerazzurri chiefs.
