Cristian Chivu is keen to bring Parma midfielder Mandela Keita to Inter Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Parma-based newspaper Gazzetta di Parma, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan have just appointed Cristian Chivu as their new coach. The Romanian joins the Nerazzurri after guiding Parma to Serie A survival in the spring.

And Chivu’s experience at Parma has not just proven him as a coach at senior level in the eyes of Inter.

The 44-year-old could also bring some notable transfer targets with him.

And according to the Gazzetta di Parma, Chivu has recommended one player in particular to Inter.

23-year-old Belgian international midfielder Mandela Keita joined Parma last summer. He arrived from Antwerp.

And Keita really became a key player for the Gialloblu with Chivu as coach.

The 44-year-old made Keita a key player at the base of his midfield.

And now, Chivu is looking to put his stamp on Inter’s midfield. Particularly in the event that Hakan Calhanoglu were to end up leaving.

According to the Gazzetta di Parma, therefore, Inter have brought up Keita in recent talks with Parma. They consider the Belgian to be a target.
