Hakan Calhanoglu, Piotr Zielinski, Benjamin Pavard, and Yann Bisseck will all miss the rest of the Club World Cup for Inter Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the quartet have all flown back to Italy ahead of the knockout rounds.
Inter Milan are gearing up for the round of sixteen of the Club World Cup. They face Brazilian giants Fluminense on Monday evening.
Inter booked their place in the knockouts with a win over River Plate this week. That capped off a group stage campaign in which the Nerazzurri were far from perfect, but grew into it.

Throughout the group stage, new Inter Milan coach Cristian Chivu has dealt with some notable absences.
Aside from Mehdi Taremi, stuck in Iran due to Israeli airstrikes, there have been a number of injuries.
Midfielders Hakan Calhanoglu and Piotr Zielinski have both been suffering from nagging calf problems.
Neither of the two midfielders have featured in any of Inter’s three group stage matches. And now, they will all be unavailable for the knockouts as well.
Meanwhile, defender Benjamin Pavard did start Inter’s group stage opener against Monterrey.
However, the Frenchman pulled out of the squad for the subsequent group stage clash with Urawa Red Diamonds. This was due to a recurrence of his lingering ankle problem.
Lastly, Yann Bisseck, another right-sided defended, has also been missing. The German is still recovering from a thigh problem he picked up during the Champions League.
Pavard and Bisseck will both miss Monday’s match against Fluminense. And should Inter move on, they will also be out for any subsequent knockout matches.
