Paris FC are preparing for a potentially significant change in leadership as uncertainty continues to surround the future of Antoine Kombouaré. According to reporting from L’Equipe, club officials have already held meetings with both Walid Regragui and Liam Rosenior while awaiting a final decision from their current manager.
Kombouaré remains under contract until 2027 and is reportedly seeking an additional year following an impressive revival that transformed the club’s fortunes towards the end of the campaign.
The proactive approach from Paris FC highlights the importance of long term planning.
“According to our sources, they recently met with Walid Regragui and Liam Rosenior.”
Regragui’s profile is particularly intriguing. The former Morocco coach has expressed interest in the project and brings international experience, despite never managing at this level before.

Rosenior is another notable candidate. Although his recent spell at Chelsea proved disappointing, he remains highly regarded for his coaching methods and previous work developing young players.
Paris FC have clearly explored multiple options.
“Paris FC had already sounded out Bruno Genesio a few weeks ago.”
However, Genesio is now expected to join Marseille, leaving Regragui and Rosenior among the leading contenders should Kombouaré depart.
The coming days appear crucial. Paris FC’s hierarchy are preparing for every scenario, ensuring they can move quickly if change becomes necessary.
Good clubs plan ahead. Ambitious clubs plan for every possibility. Paris FC appear determined to do exactly that.
As football supporters, there is reason to be excited by the ambition being shown at Paris FC.
The club could easily have waited for clarity on Antoine Kombouaré’s future before exploring alternatives. Instead, they have acted proactively and demonstrated a desire to keep momentum moving forward regardless of what happens.
Walid Regragui would be a fascinating appointment. Winning on the international stage brings pressure, expectation and scrutiny. Those experiences could prove valuable in a growing project like Paris FC.
Liam Rosenior is equally interesting. While his Chelsea spell did not deliver the results many expected, coaching reputations are rarely built on one difficult chapter. Many supporters would see him as a modern coach capable of developing a clear identity and improving younger players.
There is naturally some concern about losing Kombouaré. His work during the latter stages of the season appears to have restored belief and stability. Replacing that influence is never straightforward.
However, Paris FC seem to be operating with clear direction and long term thinking. That should reassure supporters.
Whether the next chapter begins with Kombouaré, Regragui or Rosenior, the message from the club appears consistent. Paris FC want progress, ambition and a coach capable of driving the project to another level. For supporters, that is an encouraging position to be in heading into an important period for the club.
