Report Gaetano done deal for Atalanta at €11m plus bonus | OneFootball

Atalanta have reportedly agreed a deal worth €11m plus add-ons for Cagliari midfielder Gianluca Gaetano, and shaken hands on personal terms too.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the final details are being whittled down over the next 24 hours, and he can then undergo his medical tests.

It is reported the cost of the operation is going to be €11m fixed fee plus up to a further €4m in various performance-related bonuses, closing on the €15m asking price.

The 26-year-old was specifically requested by new Atalanta coach Maurizio Sarri, and will take the place of Ederson, who is heading to Manchester United this summer.

A product of the Napoli youth academy, Gaetano had several loan experiences at Cremonese and Cagliari until making the move to Sardinia permanent at a cost of €6.2m in 2025.

Last season, he scored three goals with four assists in 35 competitive appearances for the Sardinians.
