Inter are still licking their wounds after Chelsea beat them to the signature of Marco Palestra, whom they had viewed as Denzel Dumfries’ successor. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the reigning Serie A champions have now turned their attention to three viable options.

Despite splashing out €25 million to sign Luis Henrique from Marseille last summer, Inter are again in the market for a new wingback. Indeed, the Brazilian star endured a nightmare season in Serie A and could be on the move after the World Cup. Furthermore, Dumfries is on the verge of joining Real Madrid.

Replacing the Dutchman is a daunting task, given that he has been one of Inter’s standout performers in recent years. Therefore, luring Palestra to San Siro had felt like a must-have deal, only for Chelsea to beat the Nerazzurri to the punch.
